As a child with long blonde hair living in Rapid City South Dakota, Pahasque is the name my Native American grandfather (Crow Creek Sioux Tribe) called me.  The spelling is incorrect but since my grandfather was part French I gave it a French look and thought it made a great name for my business.  I found out much later in life, while reading a book about Sitting Bull, what the name or Lakota words mean .   It was what the Native Americans called General Custer "Pehin Ska" or "Paha Ska" which means white or yellow hair.   The Crow Creek Tribe dialect is Dakota -Yanktonai.  Since the Siouan language was not written there are several spellings of words as seen on different websites.  The following is just one http://www.inext.cz/siouan/sioux-dialects.htm

Company history

I recently deciding to open a shop and found the perfect place in Dresden Ohio.  www.DresdenOhio.net   Dresden is a town full of shops offering a multitude of items from Longaberger Baskets to Zulu grass jewelry and of course now my unique items such as my one of a kind earrings and shell casing windchime.  Pahasque, the shop,  also sells items such as Bells of Vienna Windchimes, Pat Richter items, candles and warmers plus numerous other items.  I also have available a Janis Price original oil painting.   Janis is a world reknown memory artist and though her name is the same as mine, she is the "other" Janis and my wonderful mother-in-law.  Her art has been shown from New York to Japan and can also be seen at the Lindsay Gallery in Columbus Ohio.  www.lindsaygallery.com

I look forward to meeting customers face to face.  Come and enjoy the wonderful town of Dresden, where dreams come true and memories of friends and family are made and enjoyed!  A shopping experience you will definately remember.  After shopping at Pahasque, proceed to Edie's Deli just two shops down Lacy Alley for a cool, refreshing, delicious ice cream cone.

Woodcrafts by Tim

My husband found my crafting inviting so he now makes wood crafts such as the doll house he made for our granddaughters.  He also makes woodcrafts such as rustic picture frames, Americana flags,  benches, birdhouses and welcome signs crafted from cherry, maple, pine, poplar or antique oak barn wood.

Customer testimonials - My customers, so far only at fleamarkets or craftshows, tell me they really enjoy the personal touch given to each item.  They sometimes come back for more  because of the uniqueness of my jewelry & their inability to choose just one pair of earrings.  I look forward to hearing your comments soon.

I place high regard on your satisfaction so all handcrafted jewelry items are guaranteed for life.  If the item breaks for any reason other than misuse or loss, I will try to recreate it for replacement.  If I no longer have the same materials, I will replace it with a similar one of equal value.  Just return the damaged item.

I also doodle with Paintbrush creating art like this birthday card, a drawing of a log home, a bluebird scene & most importantly my logo.
